Welcome to Maritime Centre Vellamo!
Maritime Centre Vellamo immerses you in the stories of the Maritime Museum of Finland, the Kymenlaakso Museum and the Kotka Centre for Cultural Services.
With one ticket, you have access to all the exhibitions. You can learn about the lives of sailors, stevedores and islanders as well as about the stories of villages and towns and see art in the exhibitions. Listen, smell and play games. The centre is full of things to see and do for visitors of all ages, enough to fill an entire day.
Easy to visit, even with a large group!
The Maritime Centre Vellamo is a great venue for work community excursions, group travellers and groups of children.

Vellamo's majestic Boat Hall, modern auditorium and flexible conference and restaurant facilities are ideal venues for holding meetings, festivities and other events.
Museum Shop Plootu
The Museum Shop Plootu’s selection features items based on the exhibitions and the building’s architecture. They are often made locally from recycled materials.
